Your Labor is Not in Vain

Labor

Ever felt like all your work, labor is in vain? It feels like you’re grinding hard day after day, yet your life is not changing and you seemingly haven’t accomplished anything. You’re weary physically, mentally, emotionally, and ready to throw in the towel. I want to remind us, that as Christians we always have hope. Our hope is built on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ, that one day we will see HIM. Our hope is also in the fact that we KNOW that when we work FOR THE LORD, we never labor in vain. Although we may not see the fruit of our labor here on earth, we must remind ourselves, that we are storing up for ourselves treasures in Heaven. (Matthew 6:20)

All that we do for the Lord, when done with the right motives and heart, WILL be rewarded by God in Heaven (1 Corinthians 3:12-15). However, if we are pouring all of our blood, sweat and tears into obtaining worldly success, money, and material possessions…then we are laboring in vain, for all these things will pass away (1 John 2:17) and we receive no Heavenly reward.

We can find great comfort in knowing that God has promised us that our labor is not in vain when we work for Him, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord”. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Treasuring HIM,
Kesha
