My name is Kesha Griffin and I started Bible Thinking Woman (BTW) to encourage and help women to think biblically, live it out practically and grow spiritually. As a woman who was an active church-goer, yet engulfed in worldliness, with no desire for the Word, I have a passion to help other women to experience the freedom that comes with a fully surrendered life to Christ and submission to His Word.
It is my prayer that BTW will stir up a hunger and thirst for the Bible and our Lord, and that our appetite for the things of this world will diminish. That we will pursue Christ more than anything and anyone in this world. For a desire to know what the Word says, not just so we can claim the blessings and promises of God, or to modify our behavior for a day, but instead, to learn about our God, and to transform our minds and hearts so that we can be conformed more into the image of Christ. Ultimately, so that we can live a well-pleasing life for the Savior, and on that day hear Him say “Well done…enter in”.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:16
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” Matthew 5:6
I truly believe the more we think and meditate on God and His Word, the more we will live for Him. Therefore, the Scripture that this blog will be built on is Romans 12:2 which states, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect”.
My goal is to challenge how we think…to point us to Scripture so that we can see life through the lens of the Bible, rather than through our emotions/feelings, or ideologies of this world. I pray that we will renew our minds with the Word and develop a Biblical worldview. I pray that we learn to trust in God’s Word.
“We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5
“The sum of Your Word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting” Psalms 119:160
It pains me to see so many Christian women live defeated, discontented, and empty lives. This shouldn’t be if we have a relationship with Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. The Bible is powerful and sufficient to help us live a life filled with joy, peace and contentment. In order for us to achieve the abundant life that Jesus promises us, we must seek to live life His way, in accordance to His Word. There are no shortcuts to living a godly, fruitful, joy-filled life. We must be intentional about learning and submitting to the authority of the Word, and abide in our Lord.
“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing” John 15:5
Kesha married her high-school sweetheart Charles in July 2002, and they live in the Los Angeles area. Kesha’s husband-pastor planted the DaySpring Christian Church in January 2011, in Gardena, CA, where she is an active servant of the church. Kesha enjoys reading, studying, and teaching God’s Word to women, and she considers it an awesome privilege of leading the women’s ministry, and witnessing the transforming power of the Gospel work in the lives of the women in her church. Kesha can watch natural hair care videos on Youtube for hours, and enjoy watching Marvel and Disney movies with her hubsand.
